Take a closer look befor passing judgement. In the past still lifes celebrated a sort of "richness". The finer things in life, even if the common folk couldnt afford it. I wanted to take that idea and distort it in items of violence and decaying fruit. What humanity really is...just violence and decay. There is a strong diagonal of white (the miniture white alligator and rat) that is also apperent in the "Horse and Dragon" piece. I was hung up on that diagonal for a while. Its done in oils, I am a traditional artist.
The rat was used to symbolize old propaganda films...the rat was popular...
wow, that's AMAZING! Before the full view I thought u just put a random bunch of objects together and took a photo of it... but then ur description says 'take a close at it' and I did.. and I"m like: O_O wow....

This is incredibly realistic, especially the flag and the fruit bowl. The symbolism is very powerful. I like the way the shreds of the flag look like trails of blood. There's quite a bit of white in the picture, I'm wondering if it's too much, though overall I really like the colors.
Image Booted from Myspace! Isnt that nice? This is America right? I thought we had freedom of expression? Guess not...
There can be half naked 14 year olds strutting their shit on there but I make ONE anti hate pollitical painting, and its removed without me knowing...nice
Ok...I guess this piece is going to have to go bye bye for a bit...It obviously needs "Re-tooling".
There is not enough clarity between objects and the message. So, this version is going to be gone soon.
